The 2023 Primetime Emmy nominations were released Wednesday and Black women absolutely dominated. One of the nominees, who isn't even an actress, went home with five nominations. Of course, we're talking none other than the bad girl herself, Rihanna.
The singer and beauty mogul's Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performance was the reason for all five nods. The categories include outstanding directing for a variety special, outstanding music direction, outstanding production design for a variety special, outstanding technical direction and camerawork for a special, and outstanding variety special (Live).
She took to Instagram to celebrate her wins. "pull up breed up 2 d bashment," she began the caption. "5 EMMY NOMZ is craaaaazzzyyy!!! Im so grateful for every single person involved in creating these memories!"
The Primetime Emmys air September 12th at 8pm.
